A twelfth-grader in St. George’s School, Tommy Kuo landed in Vancouver, Canada last year with “a mixture of anticipation and apprehension.” In school, he is a science geek, a returning writer of The Creed, an urban beekeeper, and a yogi; everywhere else he is a bookworm, a linguist, a choral singer, a hiker, and an environmentalist. Now residing on the lovely West Coast, he avails himself of all the precious opportunities he receives, immerses himself in the breathtaking beauty of nature, and adopts a more active lifestyle to eliminate his lassitude.
