On October 22nd, 2026, St. George’s students filled the Grad Lounge to try and get in the online queue for Calvin Harris tickets, who will be performing on May 16th and 17th, 2027. An anxious buzz filled the room as people watched the countdown on Ticketmaster (the primary seller) to see if they would be able to get tickets. You may know some of Calvin Harris’s songs, as he is a very well-known artist within the dance-pop and house music genres. Songs include We Found Love featuring Rihanna, a massive nine-times platinum chart-topper, or Summer, one of his other major hits.
Vancouver was included in his 18-stop North American tour, which is now completely sold out. Tickets were available on Ticketmaster; however, there was a random queue in which people could be placed anywhere from 1st in line to 100,000th. Some Saints students were in the first few thousand but were still unable to get tickets.
Marcus Palffy ’27 said, “I am simply in despair. All that effort and queuing just to get 11,000th in line.” He was one of the many people who were trying, without luck, to get tickets.
Now, if anyone wants to get tickets, they will have to pay a heavy premium, with floor tickets easily costing thousands of dollars.
