Now in his fifth and final year at Saints, Hanson is excited to spend a part of it writing for The Echo. He wants to convey a strong sense of locality in his publications, exploring the relevance of national headlines closer to home. He is especially interested in how larger political and economic issues can show up in places like Dunbar, Richmond, and other smaller areas. Through journalism, he hopes to bring closer attention to local neighborhoods. 

Outside of the classroom, Hanson can be found reading the latest news on biotechnology and ethics, hiking across BC with friends, and finding the next best hole-in-the-wall restaurants across Metro Vancouver. Hanson looks forward to filling his final year with voices and stories!
