On October 28th, the top-seeded Saints varsity volleyball team captured their third straight gold medal at the ISA Championships held at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver. The team, led by co-captains Jay McCauley and Jamie Ambrose, glided through the round-robin stage undefeated. In the semi-final, they faced tournament hosts’ Mulgrave, where they won 2-0. In the final, St. Michael’s University School attempted to break the two-time champions streak but failed when Saints won 2-0, again. Jamie Ambrose reflected on the team’s performance and development: “ISA’s was a great tournament for our team. Not only did we achieve our goal of winning three times in a row, but we also had every player contributing during the tournament.” Saints Varsity Volleyball is now preparing for the upcoming Zone Championships in mid-November, which, if they place, will be their ticket into the BC Provincial Championships in December.
