Busy day at Watermania as swimmers try to qualify for Provincials.

On Friday, Oct. 30th, the Saints Swim team took part in the annual BCSS Vancouver Richmond Zone meet at Watermania. This meet would be the determining factor on who would represent our schools swim team at the upcoming provincials in November.

Swimmers competed and raced their hearts out in hope to earn the honour to represent Saint’s provincial team. Only the top 5 swimmers from each event will qualify and compete in the provincials; in other words, many swimmers will not make the cut. The boys swam exceedingly well and were able to capture top finishes in multiple events and most, if not all, of the relays.

Good luck to those boys who will be representing St. George’s at the high school provincials, which will be held in Kamloops starting Nov. 11th. A special thanks to everyone who participated in the swim team this year for an amazing season.
