Student Kaisei Tomimatsu (’27) towers over his painting, “Youth.” His commanding stature signals the confidence of a seasoned artist.
For Kaisei, his art is an extension of himself, and he enjoys every hour spent creating it. Mixing paints, layering textures, and refining subtle details are never a chore. Instead, the studio is where he feels most at home, painting abstract emotion and personal perspective onto the canvas.
Entering his final of eight years at Saints, Eric is psyched to write for The Echo. He inherited his love for journalism from his amazing mom, a former news reporter. Through his articles, he aims to highlight the incredible achievements of his peers and to share his hobbyist music and film criticism. When he isn’t writing, Eric can be found reading periodicals or building cases for upcoming debate tournaments.
Outside of school, Eric is usually asleep, insisting that being well-rested is foundational to living a full life. On the rare occasions he is awake, he spends his time curating his ever-expanding Letterboxd account, taking long walks on the beach, and trying new restaurants with Richard and Jacky. Eric could not be more excited for the 2026–2027 school year and looks forward to everything it has in store!
