Vancouver Gets Ready For A White Winter

After its two-year hiatus, snow is finally returning to Vancouver. According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, the city will see “flurries or rain showers” tonight as the cold arctic air arrives, and snowfall later in the week. Subzero temperatures are expected throughout the week.
Vancouver will be in full force to prepare for the snow. Salt trucks, salt and brine are being prepared for later today and tomorrow. While the City will be responsible for removing snow from major roads, it has a bylaw that requires any snow and ice around business and residential properties to be shoveled by 10 a.m., or a fine may be charged.
