LGBTQ+ Pride Week
From October 16th to October 19th, the St. George’s Senior School hosted Pride Week to support LGBTQ+ youth. Students and staff were encouraged to celebrate diversity, to appreciate sexual orientation, and to spread awareness. The boys explored the theme of allyship throughout the week – they looked for ways to serve their peers and better their community. The highlight of the week was X-Block, when guest speaker Brandon Yan delivered an insightful speech about his experiences and the call to action. Pride Week was capped off by Spirit Day; the boys wore purple clothing as a pledge against bullying.
