Respect the Green: Earth Day 2015
On Wednesday April 22, the GPACS environment committee hosted the annual Earth Day at St. George’s. Earth Day is an international day that happens in the middle of April each year. Earth Day is a great way to help students become more aware of the environment.
There were many events that went on during the day. The events included, green shirt day, electronics recycling, recycling games, photo pledge, and lights out during classes. Each event had good participation, positive feedback and students were interactive the whole day. The goal of Earth Day at St. George’s was to embrace the initiatives presented, as daily events that will occur at school in the near future.
Louie Wu, in grade 11, a member of GPACS and the environmental stewardship committee told the creed, “Overall a great success and great way to promote awareness for both students and faculty.”
