Saints Volleyball Successful Season
On November 20th, the Saints Varsity Volleyball team had a big Wild Card game against Churchill to determine who would go to provincials. The game was super close and ended up going to 3 sets, but unfortunately Saints came up a little short losing just by a few points. Even though the team isn’t going to provincials, making it as far as they did was a huge accomplishment. Their season was very eventful with tons of success including 2nd place at the UBC Tournament, undefeated in the GVISSA league, and the big highlight of winning the ISA Championship for the second consecutive season. Here is a quote from Co-Captain of the team Jay McCauley “Competing against seasoned public schools was incredibly difficult, but the team overcame that by committing hard to practices, listening to our coaches, and bonding as a team. Personally, it was definitely my favorite season thus far!”.
