Museum of Anthropology field trip

Recently, several English 10 classes went on a field trip to the Museum of Anthropology inside the University of British Columbia campus. The trip involved a guided tour of the museum along with a half-hour of free time during which students can explore the different sections of the museum in more detail. While there, the students visited the exhibitions of European ceramics, the displays of native artifacts and totem poles, and the famous sculpture – the raven and the first men. The objective of the field trip was for students to look for symbols in aboriginal art in preparation for a project later on in the year.     Many of the boys thoroughly enjoyed their visit.
