On Sunday February 1, 2015, Super Bowl XLIX will take place in Glendale Arizona. The Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots. This is a major day because the Super Bowl is a huge tradition to many Americans. America’s game of football has become very popular in Vancouver B.C. over the past couple of years.

America’s game has become a hit in B.C. thanks to the dominant Seattle Seahawks. The Seattle Seahawks have become more than just an NFL team to our province. The club has expanded the NFL into the minds and hearts of Vancouverites. For a while the Seattle Seahawks were a team that would finish around 500 every season. In 2012, the Seattle Seahawks made the playoffs and were developing into a special team. Last season, the team truly caught the attention of people in Vancouver. This is very noticeable at our school. During the NFL season there is always a lot of talk about the NFL and the Seahawks in the hallways. Football is an amazing American tradition that is taking hold here at St. George’s School.

Super Bowl XLIX will be a real pleasure to watch. There are some great game match ups that you will not want to miss. Quarterbacks Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks will battle their offenses in search of success. On the defensive side of things, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks and Darrelle Revis of the New England Patriots will do their best to keep the offensive players quiet.

Super Bowl Sunday is a great event. The defending champions, The Seattle Seahawks, and The New England Patriots won’t disappoint.
