Ms. Sarah Coates’ Social Studies 10 class listens attentively to the opposition (Kenneth Huang)’s address to the House of Commons.
The new Social Studies initiative features students running a simulation of the Canadian House of Commons. The activity is part of the Civic Mirror component of the course. The Social Studies teachers believe hands-on learning will always help students when traditional learning fails.
